OK Be Careful On Myrtle Beach Sand.......

Yes it's true by the way!  An Amazing Story........

A man was sunbathing in Myrtle Beach, SC at Eighth Avenue North when he was run over by a lifeguard driving a service truck.

Evidently it's not the first time something like this happened in Myrtle Beach.  According to The Sun News "There have been similar incidents along the Grand Strand in the past few years" - comforting eh?

A Tennessee tourist suffered minor injuries in August of 2008 after a Myrtle Beach lifeguard ran her over with his truck while she was sunbathing face-down on the beach.  They also ran over a Virginia women in  2004 - GREAT!

(I guess it's how Myrtle Beach City saves money by hiring blind lifeguards)  I mean what do they need to see for?

New Hamshire visitors ran to help after they saw the man's feet sticking out from underneath the white pickup truck (Would LOVE to Have a Picture for ya!)

Anyway the mans injuries were minor and he was taken to a local hospital.

The truck decided to stop on top of the man - was this before or after realizing there was a large bump in the sand?

So visit Myrtle Beach but sunbathe at your own risk!

(Naturally this was during the summer but I thought I might share exactly what I read a few months back)
